BlackRock's Influence and New Ventures in Cryptocurrency

There's nothing BlackRock can't achieve. Once BlackRock steps into the cryptocurrency world, it transforms the landscape completely, making it unlike anything we've seen before.

Phillip Securities' Japanese subsidiary has teamed up with BlackRock's Securitize to support the issuance of security tokens for Sony's upcoming movie, "Hero Island." The Singapore-based Phillip Securities has invested in the film and will enable consumers to invest via digital securities. Securitize Japan, backed by BlackRock, provides the issuance technology. The film is set for a 2025 release, but token sales in small batches of 100,000 yen (about $629) will begin next week.

Investors will share in the film's revenue, including box office earnings, video and broadcast sales, and value-added bonuses. They may also get opportunities for additional benefits, such as participating in extra scenes, attending the premiere, receiving promotional posters, and possibly even being featured in the end credits. This innovative approach offers a new way for investors to engage with the entertainment industry through digital securities.
