But how does all of this work? I’ll explain.

Bitcoin dominance means the market share of bitcoin when compared against altcoins.

The BTC dominance chart can be used to identify crypto market trends, an incoming altcoin season or a potential bitcoin bull run.

Why Bitcoin Dominance Is Important-
Generally, the total cryptocurrency market cap trend follows that of bitcoin.
This is because #Bitcoin influences the whole crypto space as the first, biggest, & most popular crypto asset.

When bitcoin dominance falls, it means investors are moving their investments to #Altcoins. This indicates the start of an altseason.

Before 2017, Bitcoin’s market dominance was above 80%. This is because there were few altcoins with a solid competitive edge.

However soon after, altcoins led by #Ethereum ($ETH) started attracting investment, reducing BTC’s dominance to a low of 32.3%. So Generally, when Bitcoin dominance decreases, there is a rise in interest in altcoins.

Tracking this is how you can stay on top of market sentiment and trends.

Another example:
In 2018, when the bear market started, Bitcoin dominance started to increase as investors returned to accumulating bitcoin.

But, in early 2021, a number of factors increasing the negativity around Bitcoin's energy user& China's #crypto mining ban led to drop in Bitcoin dominance and kickstarted the Altseason bull run before the 2022 bear market.

Two major MA should be defended on macro time frame

→ 21 Weekly MA at 65K
→ 200 Daily MA at 62K
