Leading ESports Team Liquid Partners With Web3 Game Illuvium

Team Liquid, a well-known esports organization, has formed a partnership with the developers of Illuvium, a blockchain game that recently became available in early access. The primary objective of this collaboration is to conduct testing on Illuvium's turn-based PVP creature autobattler experience.

As part of this collaboration, various members of Team Liquid, including "Broxah," a prominent League of Legends player, and "Midbeast," a content creator, will participate in exploring the features of Illuvium. Goossens expressed his confidence in the game's ability to reward skill and strategic thinking, similar to the games in which Team Liquid currently competes.

In addition to testing the PVP aspect, Team Liquid has plans to collaborate with Illuvium in the development of the game's esports scene and organize tournaments in 2024. Together, they will co-host an esports tournament with an impressive prize pool of $100,000.

To further enhance the integration between the two entities, Illuvium will release NFTs inspired by Team Liquid, such as character skins and avatars. These NFTs will be built on the Immutable X network.

The Illuvium team emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating that the move could set a precedent for mainstream esports in the realm of Web3 gaming. They anticipate a future where gaming achievements hold tangible value in the real world, and where every strategic move within the game can lead to remarkable rewards.
