10 year old bitcoin wallets back to life 2024

Recently we have seen reports of three to five bitcoin wallets which were able to become active/live and withdrawal of their entire holdings.

From the perspective of common person this looks very normal, but the holders were not identified even from the begining. There are websites which list the leaked private key addresses of dormant wallets also provide the facility of cracking private keys using clients GPU processing power.

According to my study there are hacking attempts which could lead to the conclusion of these wallets being active suddenly. Because bitcoin at one time did reached $60,000 in the 2020. Why were they not able to activate their accounts then. Therefore the conclusive statement of these accounts bring us to think how many more dormant wallets will get hacked. Because these hackers are trying to hack into those wallets from 5 to 6 years or even before that.

So for safety purposes in bitcoin, web3 wallets, keep your password lengthy (approximately 10+ digits) with complicated symbols, uppercase and lower case letters.
