$WLD Worldcoin open sourced orb software components

Sam Altman's Worldcoin project open sourced the core components of the orb software and introduced the Personal Custody privacy feature.

The release includes the code needed to capture images, biometrically process them, and transmit them to the World App.

According to the company, the implementation of the Personal Custody feature means that users will "always be in control of their data." Each packet is signed with a private key and then encrypted using the customer's provided public key before being sent to their mobile phone.
