According to U.Today, Elon Musk's X company, formerly known as Twitter, has taken another significant step toward establishing internal payments on its platform. The news was shared by the “DogeDesigner” account on X, a member of the Dogecoin team who frequently provides updates on the X app. The Dogecoin community has shown great enthusiasm, anticipating the launch of the new X Payments feature later this year.

User @cb_doge announced that X has secured a money transmitter license in North Dakota, bringing the total number of states where X holds such licenses to 35. With only 15 states remaining, the rollout of X Payments is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The announcement has generated excitement among Dogecoin fans and followers of “DogeDesigner,” who are eagerly awaiting the new payment capabilities on the platform.

In addition to the licensing news, the same X account revealed that X will begin making monthly payouts to content creators on the platform. This feature was introduced by Elon Musk after acquiring Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022 and rebranding it as X the following year. Content creators on X can earn money through two options: the Monetization feature, which places advertisements in the comment threads under posts, and the Subscription option, which allows account owners to charge followers a small monthly fee for exclusive content.
