According to Odaily, Amanda Pritchard, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, has called on British lawmakers to take action to prevent young people from becoming addicted to cryptocurrency trading. The call was made during an NHS managers' conference held in Manchester on June 12.

Pritchard stated that earlier this year, the NHS opened its fifteenth clinic specializing in gambling addiction in response to an 'increasingly real social demand.' She noted that there are more and more opportunities for young people to become addicted to gambling, including the unregulated cryptocurrency market.

Pritchard added that this addictive habit of investing money in things without a fixed value leaves the NHS to pick up the pieces. She warned that this growing problem could potentially lead to further demand for medical services.
