In its latest report, HashDit observes a significant decline in losses from phishing attacks in May. These attacks resulted in an estimated loss of $2.1 million, spread across 10,000 transactions, marking a 12% drop in USD value compared to the previous month.

The single largest loss noted during this period was a transfer scam that resulted in a loss of approximately $73,000.

Notably, HashDit had blacklisted the scam address involved in this incident two weeks before it happened. By using HashDit's Extension, users could have potentially blocked an amount of $2.04 million, attaining a remarkable 98% protection against phishing losses.
