Timothy Peterson, an investment adviser and crypto analyst for Cane Island Alternative Advisors, has shared his "conviction" that the price of the number one cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), will hit $1.5 million in "a decade," according to CoinTelegraph. Peterson has a history of accurate predictions, having previously stated in 2020 that BTC would never fall below $10,000 again. His latest prediction is based on a Metcalfe's law chart, which suggests that the value of a network increases as the square of its users. Peterson is not the only one who is bullish on the future of Bitcoin. Fundstrat Global Advisors' Tom Lee predicts that BTC could reach $200,000 by the end of 2023. ARK Invest's Cathie Wood believes that Bitcoin could eventually be worth more than $1 million per coin. Of course, there are also those who are more skeptical about Bitcoin's future. Nouriel Roubini, an economist and professor at New York University, has called Bitcoin a "scam" and a "bubble." However, even Roubini has admitted that Bitcoin could potentially reach $100,000. Only time will tell whether Bitcoin will reach $1.5 million or even more. However, the predictions of Peterson and other experts suggest that the future of Bitcoin is bright.
