Canada’s Next PM Could Be a Bitcoin Bro
Pierre Poilievre, the frontrunner to replace Trudeau, once vowed to make Canada the “crypto capital of the world.”
In 2022, he paid for a shawarma with Bitcoin, slammed the central bank as “financially illiterate,” and pushed for freedom to trade crypto without heavy-handed regs.
He even backed a bill to block CBDCs and protect cash.
With his party up 24 points in the polls and a 98% shot at winning, crypto's set to get cosy in Canada.
