AAVE founder Stani Kulechov previously stated that "the Polygon team proposed a governance proposal to create a 'DeFi Investment Fund' that would invest user funds into DeFi, and they blamed AAVE for it being voted down. We see this proposal as a major compromise with AAVE's risk management and decided to intervene." On the other hand, Polygon has labeled the proposal a "blatant attack by a competitor."
