AAVE DAO Considers Removing AAVE from Polygon Two core contributors to the AAVE DAO are preparing a proposal to remove AAVE from Polygon, according to DeFi News. One of them, Marc Zeller, expects a preliminary vote on the proposal next month. The move would be a significant blow to Polygon, which accounts for 40% of AAVE's total value locked (TVL). AAVE founder Stani Kulechov previously stated that "the Polygon team proposed a governance proposal to create a 'DeFi Investment Fund' that would invest user funds into DeFi, and they blamed AAVE for it being voted down. We see this proposal as a major compromise with AAVE's risk management and decided to intervene." On the other hand, Polygon has labeled the proposal a "blatant attack by a competitor." The outcome of the vote will determine the future of AAVE on Polygon and could have broader implications for the DeFi ecosystem.
