Binance has announced BIO Protocol (BIO) as the 63rd project on the Binance Launchpool, a platform that allows users to stake their crypto tokens and earn new ones at zero cost.
Starting December 23 2024, users can farm BIO tokens by staking BNB and FDUSD in dedicated pools.
BIO Protocol
BIO protocol is a new financial layer for decentralized science aimed at accelerating the flow of capital and talent into on-chain science.
The protocol is designed to catalyze an on-chain economy of scientific communities (bioDAOs) and create deep, liquid, efficient markets for scientific IP developed by bioDAOs.
Consequently, BIO empowers global communities of patients, scientists and biotech investors to collectively fund, build and own tokenized biotech projects and intellectual property (IP).
For instance, the protocol is funding cutting-edge research projects like the Pfizer-backed VitaDAO and HairDAO.
The next trillion-dollar drugs are being built onchain.

This Launchpool campaign presents a unique opportunity for the Binance community to participate in BIO Protocol’s vision of merging science and blockchain technology.
Users will be able to lock their BNB and FDUSD to receive BIO airdrops over ten days with farming starting from 2024-12-24 00:00 (UTC).
Binance will then list BIO at 2025-01-03 10:00 (UTC) and open trading with the following trading pairs:
BIO/USDT
BIO/BNB
BIO/FDUSD, and
BIO/TRY
This marks the end of the airdop duration.

Whitelisted access to BioDAO funding rounds
Rewards for contributing data or labor to BioDAOs
To participate in this venture, interested parties need to:
Download the Binance app from the app store on android or ios, then follow the instructions to create an account on the application.
Once you have successfully created an account, deposit local currency using your preferred payment method (bank transfer, mobile money, or card).
Then, navigate to ‘Convert’ in the app to exchange your currency for BNB or FDUSD, the required tokens for staking in the BIO Launchpool.
Finally, go to the Launchpool section on the app, select the BIO pool and stake your tokens.
