According to BlockBeats news, on December 17, Avalanche announced that its major upgrade, Avalanche9000, was officially launched on the mainnet. This upgrade significantly reduces the cost of subnet deployment and lowers the basic fee of the C chain from 25 nAVAX to 1 nAVAX, a reduction of 96%. The Etna module introduced in the upgrade supports chain independent operation, optimizes the verification mode and enhances the cross-chain messaging function. According to Blockworks Research, C-chain transaction volume is expected to increase by about 50% after the upgrade.
