Big thinks are coming to Radworks $RAD 🚀
Today, the Drips team announced that Drips #AI will be launching in Q1 2025, as well as that funds from Deep Funding, Vitalik Buterin's new experiment will be distributed within Drips. 🌟
Here’s what’s coming and why it matters.
🧵👇
Drips is a toolkit for funding open-source software through programmable value flows and dependency trees.
In 2024 we onboarded hundreds of open-source projects that voluntarily shared millions of dollars with the dependencies and maintainers that had the greatest impact on them.
With this year’s significant LLM improvements, we saw an opportunity: What if we could supercharge Dependency Funding with AI, helping both funders and recipients—while preserving the principles that made Drips popular?
On Friday, @VitalikButerin announced Deep Funding, an exciting new experiment that takes Dependency Funding further by introducing AI algorithms to predict human judgement.
We are incredibly proud that the funds for this new experiment will be distributed through Drips. We are also contributing the first training dataset for it. 🔥
This is just the start of more Dependency Funding experiments!

Today, we're really excited to announce that we're building an entire framework around next-generation dependency funding with AI.
This includes:
- Training data: Drips already has the largest dataset of human-reported dependency judgements, and we're making it easier to leverage this data at scale.
- AI allocation: Funders can choose from multiple #AIAgents to create large, optimized funding networks - fully integrated with Drips.
- Funding distribution: Import, view, and allocate funds to entire ecosystems directly in Drips.
- Feedback loops: Funds distributed via Drips incentivize FOSS maintainers to self-report dependencies, further growing the dataset and enabling smarter AI decisions.
Drips AI makes funding dependencies seamless, scalable, and sustainable.
We’re rolling it out in Q1, but we’re already working with select ecosystems!
