According to Odaily, South Korea's Chief of National Assembly Affairs, Kim Min-ki, held a press conference on December 4, local time, to express strong opposition to unconstitutional and illegal activities that occurred within the National Assembly building, along with the resulting damages. Kim announced that, starting from December 4, access to the National Assembly building will be completely restricted for Ministry of Defense personnel and police officers. He emphasized that this measure is an urgent step to ensure the safety of parliament members and maintain the functionality of the National Assembly.
Kim Min-ki further stated that the National Assembly will thoroughly assess the physical and other damages resulting from the declaration of martial law and will pursue accountability for any illegal actions. He also mentioned that, based on current information, the incident has led to injuries among National Assembly staff, and efforts are underway to accurately determine the number of injured individuals and the extent of their injuries.
