On November 25, Bitcoin research company BTCparser published an article stating that many Bitcoin wallet addresses were created in 2010, each holding 50 Bitcoins. These addresses were transferred for the first time in November 2019 after their initial “activation” in 2010, and the article referred to them as the “2010 whale.” The theory proposed is that Satoshi Nakamoto owns these wallets and has been gradually selling off his holdings, while deliberately leaving the 2009 wallets untouched to avoid drawing attention.

The author suggests that the mysterious “2010 whale” could possibly be China. However, BTCparser stresses that this is just a “theory, not a conclusion.” (Cointelegraph)
