The US Department of Justice has taken down the cybercrime market Popeyetools and arrested its administrators Abdul Ghaffar, Abdul Sami, and Javed Mirza. They created and operated an
online marketplace for illegal goods and services, including ransomware attacks and financial fraud. If convicted, the defendants could face up to 10 years in prison for each charge.
