Near Protocol announced that it will design the world's largest open-source AI. The project has 1.4 trillion parameters and a small version of the model with 500 million parameters at the opening of the Redacted conference in Bangkok Thailand, on Sunday (10/11).
The project will expand to seven models, each of which only the best researchers and contributors will be retained, also planning to monetize this model by ensuring data security through an encrypted Trusted Execution environment.
Near Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin said the cost of training the model is US$160 million, and funds will be raised through token sales.
"We have a business model, a way of monetization, and a funding scheme that allows this project to be sustainable," said Illia Polosukhin.
This step is expected to encourage the participation of contributors in the continuous development process.
