由 Consensys 開發的 L2 網路 Linea 也在今天發文支持這項聲明，並呼籲 Matter Labs 應堅持自己的使命並撤回其商標申請。

另外，最近在以太坊主網上線的 Layer 2 網路 Taiko 表示，「鑑於本週有關代幣代碼的類似討論，我們希望對所有人公平」，由於已有其他專案使用 $TKO 作為代碼，Taiko 決定將其代幣代碼從 $TKO 改為 $TAIKO。而 Polyhedra 為了回應與 zkSync 的衝突，也宣布將在 HashKey 交易所上市時使用的代幣代碼改為「ZKJ」。

Matter Labs 的回應

在遭到多名業界人士的批評後，Matter Labs 今（31）日稍早在 X 平台上發文表示「ZK 技術屬於社群，到此為止」，並宣稱其申請 ZK 相關商標的目的是確保「ZK」一詞可以在「ZK Sync」、「ZK Stack」等相關名稱的語境中自由使用，「不管喜歡與否，商標是當今唯一可用的法律工具」。

Matter Labs 繼續說道：

「我們仍致力於為 ZK 商標找到一個適當的結構，讓每個開發 ZK 技術的人都能使用。我們邀請其他 ZK 專案加入這項工作。ZK 技術，尤其是 ZK 一詞，是而且必須始終是一種公共財，供所有人免費使用。」

Matter Labs 執行長 Alex Gluchowski 也澄清說，商標的存在是為了保護用戶，而不是公司，Matter Labs 曾經註冊的所有商標都是防禦性的，包括與 ZK 有關的商標，目的是防止不誠實的行為者誤導客戶，並將他們的產品和服務與 Matter Labs 所提供的產品和服務混淆。
