Caught in the act! Australian Police Seize Crypto from Drug Dealers
Police in South Australia recently seized crypto worth USD 1.5 million or around IDR 23.5 billion from a suspected drug dealer on the dark web. They also confiscated a large amount of drugs and electronic devices from a 25-year-old man whose name was not released.
South Australian Detective Inspector Adam Rice said the investigation identified illegal online black market activity and linked it to real-life people in South Australia.
Efforts to identify and trace the cryptocurrency used in this breach ultimately resulted in a seizure operation.

In a raid on a home and two storage units, police seized a dangerous amount of the synthetic opioid known as nitazene. Local authorities are concerned that these drugs, which are highly toxic and have never been approved for human consumption, could be linked to two cases of fatal overdoses.
Not only that, reports also revealed that law enforcement officers found tens of thousands in cash when they carried out raids in the Adelaide Hills area.
