Israeli startup CorrActions has reportedly closed a secured $7.25 million Series A funding round to advance the integration of its AI technology solution that could potentially save thousands of people from car accidents.
AI Could Save Thousands From Road Accidents
Over a million people die from road accidents every year, according to the WHO, with some causes stemming from impairment and distraction. CorrAction harnesses AI technology to prevent similar cases by detecting abnormalities in drivers’ and passengers’ cognitive states.
More like a “silent guardian,” CorrAction uses existing human-motion sensors in vehicles, such as steering wheels and in-cabin radars, to analyze micro-muscle movements reflective of brain activity. Through the movements, it detects the cognitive states of the driver, including driver intoxication, fatigue, and distraction.
The communication between the software and the car system happens privately and does not capture Personal Identifiable Information (PII), per the report. It can be seamlessly integrated into vehicles through Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.
CorrActions to Advance AI Integration in Vehicles

The investment round was led by Volvo Cars Tech Fund, with other notable venture capital firms, including BlackBerry. With the fresh capital raised, CorrAction will focus on advancing the integration of the AI solution into production vehicles.
