According to Odaily, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged NovaTech and its leaders, Cynthia Petion and Eddy Petion, with orchestrating a $650 million cryptocurrency fraud. The case reportedly involves over 200,000 investors worldwide, including many Haitian Americans.

Additionally, the SEC has accused Martin Zizi, Dapilinu Dunbar, James Corbett, Corrie Sampson, John Garofano, and Marsha Hadley of playing roles in promoting NovaTech to investors.
