The decline appears to be connected to a live broadcast by RoaringKitty, a well-known influencer tied to GameStop shares, which coincided with a sharp fall in GameStop's value, resulting in a $235 million loss for RoaringKitty. The broadcast attracted half a million viewers and aired on major financial networks like CNBC. Alongside this, approximately $300 million worth of cryptocurrency was liquidated within the last hour, mostly long positions, including altcoins like Ethereum, Dogecoin, Solana, and Bitcoin, with a notable $44 million liquidated in Bitcoin alone.
