SEC Charges Individual for Memcoin Launch for First Time Ever

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has, for the first time in history, charged a private individual with launching the Saitama Inu memecoin, which was created in 2021 by Vietnamese Vai Pham (better known under the nickname msvy_crypto).

The case also involves market maker Gotbit. The company's CEO, Alexey Andryunin, has likely begun cooperating with the investigation.
