Ruja Ignatova, the so-called Cryptoqueen, who scammed and manipulate people around her. She claimed to invent a new and revolutionary cryptocurrency that rivals the Bitcoin and called it OneCoin.
She persuaded and convince some people to invest billions on the project. Upon the course, she claimed that the OneCoin is on its way to became the new phenomenal crypto and that the time of Bitcoins popularity will end. She even told her audience that the OneCoin will be the Bitcoins Killer. She proudly said to the crowd, at Wembleys Arena that, "In two years, nobody will speak about #bitcoin any more!".
A months later, after her scheme became popular and lot of investors stake on the said crypto, carrying all the money along her, Ignatova boarded a plane in Sofia, Bulgaria, and vanished, and never to see again.
After her disappearance, her crypto was revealed to be a trash and all her statement was of course all just a hoax. Authorities say that OneCoin was a pyramid scheme that defrauded people out of more than $4 billion. And Her scheme reach and convinced investors in the US and around the globe.
The Federal prosecutors describe OneCoin as one of the largest international fraud schemes ever perpetrated. She is now listed on one of the FBI’s 10 most-wanted fugitives, alongside accused gang leaders and murderers.
