Dubai court considers crypto salary payments valid

Another important step has been taken in Dubai, which has passed many positive laws and regulations on cryptocurrencies in recent years. The request of a complainant who applied to the court because he could not receive the part of his salary with cryptocurrency was accepted. The court stated that contracted employees can receive a salary with crypto.

The United Arab Emirates continues to take positive steps in terms of cryptocurrencies day by day. Finally, a Dubai court accepted the request of the complainant who made an agreement to receive part of his salary in cryptocurrency but could not receive the payment. The court allowed contracted and legal employees to receive payments with crypto.

Therefore, companies will be able to pay crypto, provided that this is stated in their employee contracts.

The unnamed company employee went to the Dubai court and asked for unfair business termination compensation and to pay 5250 EcoWatt tokens that have not been paid for about 6 months.

After reviewing the complaint, the court ruled that the plaintiff was right and that payments with crypto would apply. Here, the court could also have decided to make a payment here with the equivalent of these tokens in fiat money instead of EcoWatt tokens, but crypto payment was preferred.

He was rejected last year

The same court did not accept this complaint of the same person last year. The court had rejected the plaintiff's request for payment, stating that he "could not provide proof" regarding the value of the tokens. However, the plaintiff made the request again and received what he wanted.
