According to Foresight News and reported by The Block, Mysten Labs' Chief Legal Officer Kevin Boon will take on the role of President, with one of his biggest responsibilities being to help lead the launch of the Walrus Protocol mainnet, expected to go live in 2025. Kevin Boon stated that in addition to launching the storage and retrieval platform Walrus, which is currently running on the testnet, Mysten Labs is also looking for opportunities to advance decentralized technology through artificial intelligence.
Kevin Boon previously led regulatory, product, business, and international legal teams at Block, a payments and blockchain infrastructure company founded by Jack Dorsey.
