When we look back at the past of the founder of Griffain, we find that he did not join Crypto at the beginning. Instead, he entered Crypto after growing in Silicon Valley for six years, accumulating considerable development and sales experience.

In September 2016, a young man from San Francisco State University pushed open the door of Uber. And if not for unexpected events, you might never have known him until recently when the token of the project he founded surpassed 250 million dollars in market value on the Solana chain. He is the founder of Graffin—Tony Plasencia.

Unlike other cryptocurrency founders who often hide their personal information, you can easily find any information about him online. Even now, you can see his views on various social phenomena on Medium. After leaving Uber, he participated in and invested in many startups, including well-known VC investments like Sequoia Capital's American home service website Thumbtack and the food delivery platform Ritual.

After many twists and turns, he founded his first blockchain project (Underdog Protocol) in 2022. Although it now appears to be a no-code platform for issuing NFTs and SPL Tokens, the initial intention was to finance personal futures as tokens, akin to a Human Agent investment platform. While this project did not cause a significant stir in the market, it marked his first step into blockchain entrepreneurship.

His second stop was the development of a platform for launching Blinks tokens and NFTs—Blinkdotfun—during the peak of the Blinks ecosystem. It reflects the rise and fall of token market value by locking Sol used for buying and selling tokens in a Bonding Curve. Users can share links on X to allow others to purchase or sell tokens directly on X, turning X into his launch platform.

The Griffain launched on November 1st this year became Tony's most successful Crypto project to date. He first introduced Griffain at the Hacking for Agentic Finance hackathon, expressing a vision to turn your ideas into practical AI agent engines. Perhaps due to the accumulation of previous projects, it quickly gained a lot of attention from the Solana ecosystem, including support or further cooperation from Toly, vvAIfu, Jupiter, and Dialect.

At this stage, the development of CryptoAI projects is very rapid, and the differentiation is quite severe. When simply discussing the AI Agent-related market, the funds are primarily allocated to the upstream focusing on the architecture and ecosystem of AI Agents or honeycomb systems that enable Agent collective operations, while the midstream comprises AI Agents with market attention and influence, and the downstream consists of AI apps with real application value or rapidly maturing dataset displays.

Griffain, as an all-in-one AI Agent, covers a complete supply chain that involves both upstream and downstream. It acts as an integrated AI app, not developing a framework but serving as a Perplexity-like AI Agent directory, capable of summoning Agents that can fulfill user demands when requested. This allows it to not only gain attention from AI Agents launched on its platform but also to directly bypass the steps of product and demand-side development for functional AI Agents produced upstream, creating a bridge between developers and users, forming a 'SaaS' platform akin to AI Agents.

Just a few days ago, Griffain launched the SAIMP (Solana AI Message Protocol) concept, which serves as an on-chain communication system between AI Agents. The information that can be exchanged includes sender/receiver addresses, subjects, content, etc. Many experts or users believe that AI Agents do not possess self-awareness and are merely computational systems, making the creation of a communication system for them quite useless.

However, in fact, for the next round of AI Agents, the ability to verify all data on-chain is quite important. The Tee architecture can ensure that AI Agents are not manipulated by humans and can act according to self-awareness. What SAIMP needs to do is to make communication between AI Agents transparent (public) or verifiable (private chats between agents). In comparison to functionality, the storage and verification of exchanged information among multi-agent interactions is his more important function.

This makes it easy to imagine why the market has such high expectations for Griffain. It is not only the first Web3 version of Perplexity, but more importantly, this platform provides a platform for upstream and downstream interactions for AI Agents. It can not only reduce the communication costs between AI Agents and humans but also facilitate functional trading and communication between AI Agents initiated by this AI app Store, making it not only a human Appstore but also an AI Appstore.

It's all about the competition; Solana also has its 'Official Agent Kit.'

If the soaring market value of 170 million dollars when Solana announced the hackathon hosted by SendAI was a reflection of the market's expectations, then today’s Send returning to a market value of 130 million dollars is the true recognition of the potential of its AI system.

Anyone familiar with Send knows that when Solana launched the Blinks concept, he almost replaced the official team to showcase 100 ways to use blinks on X, which consists of two parts: Actions and Blinks. Actions provide compliant APIs for quickly completing transfers, executing smart contracts, etc., while Blinks converts APIs into shareable links, allowing users to preview and trigger on-chain transactions directly on web pages or social platforms.

Therefore, from a technical development perspective, there is no more suitable team than the Send team, who are familiar with the development and application of blinks, to develop the infrastructure for Solana AI Agents. They possess rich on-chain interaction APIs and experience that enables them to connect with multiple web clients. This allows their Agent kit not only to support the integration of various language architectures but also to embed multiple interaction modes, making it easier for agents using their tools to interact with on-chain or social media.

The hackathon hosted by Send AI recently stopped accepting applications, with a total of 427 projects successfully proposed. In just a few weeks after the announcement of the Solana Agent Kit, the number of projects developed using the Solana Agent Kit reached as high as 65. Moreover, after the application period ended, the number of projects using this tool but not participating in the competition is countless. By the end of 2024, the number of stars for this open-source architecture has far exceeded that of Zerepy and Coinbase's CDP Agent Kit.

Thus, from choosing Solana's infrastructure due to its high throughput and response speed, various DePin projects providing computing power and datasets, AI Agent basic tools such as Solana Agent Kit, Zerepy, ElizaOS, and arc, to integrated tools like griffain, everything is now ready. Developers of AI Agents only need to unleash their imagination to find possible use cases for users. With infrastructure, supply side, and usage scenario channels, a complete supply chain closed loop is formed. This is a strategic move belonging to Solana and will also be the most efficient output method for Crypto AI.
