Family, do you know? Today I encountered something particularly absurd. My cousin called me yesterday saying his card was frozen, and today I drove over to help with the out-of-town unfreezing process. The other party also came to say they wanted compensation, or else they'd get him into a new house!!

This time I analyze the incident from a third-party perspective:

After my cousin issued U, the person buying U went to report to the police.

Cousin explained to the police:

①: First of all, transactions on legitimate platforms are KYC compliant and the sources are legal.

②: Sold at market price, the other party is also real name verified, which constitutes good faith acquisition.

③: Virtual currency transactions are not illegal; the state does not prohibit transactions between individuals.

As a result, the police said:

A: What legal source? U merchant is either money laundering or an accomplice to fraud.

B: What good faith acquisition? The money received is clearly the victim's fraudulent funds.

C: Virtual currency transactions are illegal.

From my perspective, virtual currency transactions are not illegal because they are not protected by law. Things did indeed develop this way from the beginning!

However, during the communication process, the police inadvertently leaked some information, making us realize that it seems different from ordinary buying and selling U being frozen.

This incident is different from ordinary card freezing.

Normally, a legitimate U sale being frozen should be:

A buys from U merchant, A used dirty money, which may lead to card freezing; or U merchant's money is dirty, resulting in card freezing.

Seeing this, some should understand.

Cousin encountered a scammer this time.

First, they used a set of rhetoric to fool the victim into buying U.

The victim found U merchant, legitimately buying and selling U, paying cash while handing over U.

The victim received U, and at the request of the scammer, transferred U to a specified address, and then realized they were scammed and reported to the police.

Upon hearing this, it was clearly a scam, a case was filed, and U merchant's bank card was frozen.

I feel that it is already outrageous for U merchant to be frozen, even more outrageous is being asked to compensate.

So everyone must keep their eyes wide open!

Finally, may all my family who pay attention to me not be card frozen! Hope this article helps everyone!
