USDT will be removed from the listings of exchanges in the European Union - Should you be worried?
Recently, there has been news about Tether (USDT) being removed from some European exchanges. I initially ignored this news as it is not actually a big issue, but many people have asked me if this is a serious problem. Let me clarify: this is not an issue.
Here are the reasons:
1️⃣ Most exchanges in the EU have already ceased operations due to the strict regulations on cryptocurrency in the region. This means that the removal of USDT will not have much impact, as many exchanges are already unavailable or restricted in the EU market.
2️⃣ If you hold cryptocurrencies purchased with USDT, there is no need to worry. The value you hold is related to the coins or tokens you purchased, not the method of purchase. Whether you use USDT, BTC, or fiat currency, your assets are still safely stored in your wallet or on the platform you are using.
3️⃣ Globally, USDT is still widely supported. Outside the EU, its market value is $138 billion. Most exchanges and major platforms still consider USDT as a primary stablecoin.
Don't panic.
Don't be afraid, now USDT is being settled by people around you, even those who are not in the crypto circle. Finally, click on my profile picture to follow, so you don't get lost.
