According to a report by The Block on December 27, a Wintermute analyst stated that the trend of companies adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets may develop until 2025.
Jake Ostrovskis, an over-the-counter trader at Wintermute, said: "I think next year, when companies start adding Bitcoin on an institutional basis, it will become quite a significant driving force." You may also see small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) joining in.
He pointed out: "Currently, people are talking about the impact of ETFs, but the real driving factor is that now you can have pension funds and sovereign wealth funds invest cash." Traditional hedge funds have been waiting for exchange-traded funds to provide an entry into the cryptocurrency market, and now they are acting quickly because they see opportunities in the market.
Ostrovskis predicts that some companies will follow the example set by MicroStrategy, but with Ethereum instead.
