CoinVoice has recently learned, according to Cointelegraph, that based on the latest information from the Malaysian Securities Commission's website, the Malaysian securities regulator has listed the Web3 wallet service Atomic Wallet among the financial companies banned from operating in the country due to its 'unregistered operation of a digital asset exchange (DAX).'
The regulator did not provide further clarification on this matter, but it is worth noting that Atomic Wallet suffered a hack in 2023, resulting in losses of over $100 million, and thus became the subject of multiple lawsuits.
Currently, Atomic Wallet has been blacklisted along with several other cryptocurrency-related companies that are prohibited from operating in the country by the Malaysian Securities Commission, such as Crypto Trade Malaysia and Best Exchange. [Original link]
