But the current impact of this project is not significant, and I haven't seen any major NFT project parties personally operate like this.
In fact, there is no need to limit such operations to NFT projects, nor is it only limited to issuing AI agents. It can fully operate all activities related to AI agents, such as building platforms similar to Virtuals.
I came across such a case over the weekend.
Speaking of zkSync, its airdrop once left painful memories for countless opportunists. After the token airdrop, I don't seem to have heard any community discussions about this Ethereum Layer 2 scaling that was once highly anticipated, nor have I heard anyone discussing projects on this Layer 2 scaling.

I once interacted on this DEX purely to opportunistically gain benefits. The only impression it left on me is that it supports Pay Master, allowing users to choose to use its token (Hold) to pay for gas fees. This made my experience much smoother.
Besides that, I can't see any highlights of this DEX.
If I hadn't stumbled upon its news while wandering over the weekend, I wouldn't have remembered this DEX at all.
Now, in addition to continuing to maintain the DEX business, it has also transformed into an AI financing platform like Virtuals, and seems to have received ecological support.
Its gameplay completely imitates Virtuals, allowing supported AI agents to issue tokens, and users must use its platform token Hold to buy these AI agent tokens.
Currently, AI agents have already been issued on this DEX, but these agents do not have many highlights yet, and it seems that not many people know about them. Only the project party is tirelessly promoting on Twitter.
Regardless of whether this new method works or not, the quick action of the project party has already shown that they regard this gameplay as a 'lifeline'.
This sign makes me more convinced that the gameplay of Virtuals will definitely expand rapidly to other ecologies and be used by more half-dead project parties to 'borrow a corpse to resurrect a soul'.
If this gameplay is further connected with the countless Layer 2 scalings now, the segmented imaginative space will be even greater.
Doesn't Uniswap have its own Unichain now?
Regarding the development direction of Unichain, Messari has a dedicated article analyzing whether it is a general-purpose chain or a DeFi-specific chain.
It seems that there is no need to argue anymore. If Uniswap also adopts the method of Virtuals, specifically fostering AI agents dedicated to DeFi (like trading agents, payment agents, etc.) on Unichain, and uses its UNI token as the exchange medium for these AI agent tokens, then it can develop its own DeFi AI agent ecology on its own chain.
Moreover, this is also a legitimate, non-regulatory, empowering method for tokens, and a safe and effective good method.
ApeChain and Treasure, doesn't Bored Ape and Magic have their own dedicated game (Layer 2 scaling) chains?
They can also adopt the gameplay of Virtuals to foster game-type AI agents within their own ecology and empower their own tokens. This way, they can also establish their own game-type AI agent ecology and boost their token prices.
If this idea can be implemented, I estimate that what is about to explode next will not only be AI agents but also the simultaneous explosion of Layer 2 scaling and AI agents—any project with strong strength and ecology will consider building its own Layer 2 scaling, and then building its own AI agent ecology on that Layer 2 scaling.
