Previously, we introduced GenZ's viral meme Chillguy, which has jumped to become a meme coin on Solana. Now, some have combined the Chillguy meme with this year's booming mini apps to launch the Chillguy Xmas mini-game. However, some whistleblowers claim that Chillguy Xmas is a predecessor of a mini app called Mapogo that has already run away, indicating that these types of games ultimately just launch a token presale followed by a rug pull.
There is no gameplay; Chillguy Xmas is not GameFi at all.
Entering the game page of Chillguy Xmas, it can be found to be simpler than the original Tap to Earn; it is essentially a passive game that periodically collects points. However, it can provide earnings in Solana and CGX tokens, which is quite paradoxical. If you do not know the source of the other party's earnings, you might be that source of earnings. This type of mini app that requires no effort lacks gameplay and cannot be called GameFi.
Entering the task page, just like most mini apps, it requires users to retweet, follow, or watch YouTube videos to earn points. This is, of course, a method for the project team to monetize traffic.
Whistleblower: Chillguy Xmas is the predecessor of the disappeared mini app
And the Threads account ___yun.5zo posted that after investigation, @chillguy_xmas's account had previously changed its name, originally called @mopogocommunity. According to the screenshots provided, it can be determined that Mopogo is also a mini app on Telegram. However, the Twitter account has already changed its name, and the official website link is also invalid. Additionally, searching for the keyword @mopogocomunity on Twitter will also show content from @chillguy_xmas.
___yun.5zo warned that Chillguy Xmas is likely another funding scheme from the same team, pointing out that such projects usually end with a token presale, followed by a rug pull. The author adds: Currently, the CGX token has been issued on the Solana chain.
