According to a recent poll conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Center, about half of American adults have "no confidence at all" in Trump's ability to select qualified candidates for cabinet and top executive positions, while only about thirty percent of Americans are "extremely confident" or "very confident" in his appointments. As expected, Republicans have more confidence in Trump than Democrats, but this is not an overwhelming majority. About twenty percent of Republicans express "average confidence," while another twenty percent say they have "some confidence" or "no confidence at all." Additionally, people's confidence in Trump's ability to manage government spending and execute other key presidential tasks is roughly similar.
