December 18th, Binance takes major action! $USUAL officially trading, purchase limits lifted, both institutions and retail investors are entering the market!
The biggest good news is that after official trading starts, the previous purchase limit of 40,000 coins per account has been lifted. This means that institutions, large funds, and those capable retail investors can truly enter the market.
Everyone has been worried that the official opening will bring a dump from airdrops, but I’ll say it again, the possibility is really small. Even if it does dump, the price won't drop too drastically.
Why do I say this? Because after official trading starts, there are only 170 million airdropped coins that haven't entered the market. Even if 80% flows into the market, that's only 136 million. Moreover, based on previous trading conditions, those who are optimistic about this project won't rush to trade after receiving airdrops; they would prefer to continue staking to earn some returns. So this 136 million that enters the exchange won't be casually sold. Those who could claim airdrops months in advance definitely have sharper minds than us small retail investors.
Furthermore, even if half of this 136 million is sold at the opening, that's only 68 million, which is less than 15% of the circulating supply. How could that possibly affect the market? This amount isn’t even enough for a single institution or a large holder to buy.
Many friends have reached out to me, saying they sold too early, regretted it now that prices have risen, and want to know if they can still buy. Ah, that's a tough question for me to answer.
