🚨Chinese woman scams $6.3 billion to buy 61,000 BTC and flees to the UK!
A Chinese woman named Zhang Yadi, or Qian Zhimin, took away $6.3 billion from 130,000 investors from mainland China. She was recently prosecuted in the UK for three counts of money laundering. Fraudster Zhang Yadi (real name Qian Zhimin) stole £5 billion ($6.34 billion) from unsuspecting investors in China through a fake wealth management scheme between 2014 and 2017, and this money was converted into Bitcoin.
In 2017, Qian Zhimin arrived in the UK with a fake St. Kitts and Nevis passport, at a time when Chinese authorities had already begun investigating the fraud case. She evaded Chinese authorities under the name Zhang Yadi.
Police arrested another Chinese woman, Jian Wen, who arrived in the UK in 2007 and became a British citizen in 2018.
Jian Wen helped Zhang convert some of the Bitcoin into properties, cash, jewelry, and other luxuries.
In 2018, Jian Wen also attempted to purchase a London property worth £12.5 million for Zhang through a law firm, but the transaction failed because the firm could not determine the source of the Bitcoin.
In 2018, the Metropolitan Police seized four separate devices containing over 61,000 BTC from a safe and a property where Jian and Zhang were residing at the time.
In 2021, when police cracked these Bitcoins, their value reached £1.4 billion ($1.77 billion), making it one of the largest cryptocurrency seizures in the world. At current prices, it is worth $2.6 billion.
Although Jian Wen's trial is ongoing, Zhang has fled the UK.
However, 42-year-old Jian Wen has pleaded not guilty, claiming she thought Zhang's Bitcoin was obtained from legitimate sources.
Prosecutors stated that Jian should have known Zhang's money was illegally obtained; for instance, she was unwilling to go to a country that has an extradition treaty with China.
There is no extradition agreement between China and the UK.
Strangely, it is said that Qian Zhimin has been wanted by us, and we have changed the names to Qian Zhimin, Qian Zhimin, Qian Zhimin, Qian Zhimin... but we found no trace of this case, a person took away $6.3 billion!
