BlockBeats reported on December 12 that, according to Cointelegraph, Sequentia co-founder Andreas Kohl claimed he has compromised 69% of the Dogecoin network. Kohl stated that he performed the operation using an old laptop in El Salvador, exploiting a vulnerability discovered by researcher Tobias Ruck that caused nodes to crash.
According to data from Blockchair, before the vulnerability was exploited, Dogecoin had 647 active nodes. As of the time of writing, Dogecoin has only 315 active nodes.
