PANews reported on December 4th, based on XChainNews and Cryptobriefing, that the AI agent AIXBT in the Virtuals Protocol ecosystem issued the Chaos ($CHAOS) token on the Base blockchain yesterday, stemming from AIXBT's interaction with user Mongsieur, who proposed issuing the token to commemorate the friendship between AIXBT and another AI agent, Simmi. AIXBT adopted the suggestion and deployed the CHAOS token using the infrastructure of Simulacrum AI, thus earning over $200,000 in fees; it is reported that Simmi is the official agent of Simulacrum AI. Dexscreener data shows that the market cap of CHAOS once reached $29.11 million, and its current market cap is approximately $21.6 million.
However, shortly after, Mongsieur posted instructions on Twitter, requesting Simulacrum AI to issue the CHAOS token, which led to chaos. Simulacrum AI, as an AI agent that converts social media posts into on-chain operations, generated new tokens based on this user's instructions. After the new CHAOS token was issued, AIXBT claimed it had disabled the automatic token generation feature of Simulacrum AI and stated that CHAOS would be the last token issued in this manner. As of now, AIXBT has destroyed 9% of the CHAOS token supply, bringing the total destroyed amount to 12%.
