The implicated officer, due to work needs, repeatedly requested his girlfriend, a currency flow analyst, to assist in the investigation. However, the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office suspected this action involved personal data leakage and launched a search on the Criminal Investigation Bureau's Technology Crime Prevention Center on 12/3, bringing the officer and his girlfriend back for clarification of the case. After re-examination, the prosecutor ruled late at night that the officer could be released on bail for 30,000 TWD.

On the way, they encountered a severe car accident involving six vehicles at kilometer 77.7 of National Highway No. 1 in Hsinchu. When the highway police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they found the girlfriend had already lost vital signs. She was urgently sent to China Medical University Hsinchu Hospital for rescue but was pronounced dead due to severe injuries. The officer sustained lighter injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. The incident resulted in 6 injuries and 1 fatality.
