Wu said that the Ethereum Foundation announced the 2024 Q3 funding project report, allocating approximately $12.8488 million to support projects and activities in multiple areas. Among them, community education, developer experience and tools, zero-knowledge proofs and cryptography, consensus layer, and Layer 2 became key funding focuses. Community education projects accounted for the largest share, including the EEA Industry Day held in Bangkok, Thailand, the ETH Pura Vida conference held in San José, Costa Rica, and hackathons and other events. In the technical field, the foundation supported ongoing development of Web3.js, research focused on optimizing the performance of the Ethereum consensus layer by Lighthouse, and projects in the ZKP field such as Circuitscan and Rapidsnark Mobile Prover, which also received funding to enhance the application development capabilities of privacy technologies.
