Former Assistant Director of the Cryptocurrency Division Mark Sylvester and outgoing Commissioner Jaime Lizárraga's former legal advisor Laura D'Allaird updated their LinkedIn profiles on December 2, listing themselves as the new co-directors of the Office of Crypto Assets and Networks.
Tenreiro joined the Office of Crypto Assets and Networks in October 2022 as Deputy Director. His responsibilities in the Cryptocurrency Division included leading the SEC's lawsuits against several major companies in the industry, including actions against exchanges Kraken and Coinbase, blockchain company Tron and founder Justin Sun, as well as years-long legal battles against Ripple Labs.
