While this behavior impacts all PoW networks, it hits minority chains like eCash harder due to their smaller share of the total hash rate. The Solution: Real-Time Targeting The Heartbeat upgrade dynamically adjusts mining difficulty in real-time. By rejecting blocks mined too quickly, it prevents the turbo block problem and keeps block production steady—closer to the 10-minute target. Why It Matters: A Better User Experience The Heartbeat upgrade improves: ✅ Faster transaction confirmations ⚡ ✅ More predictable deposit times 🕒 ✅ A smoother experience for merchants, exchanges, developers, and everyday users. 🚀 With blocks arriving more consistently, eCash users can rely on faster, smoother transactions. This is especially important for eCash’s 1-block finality, where just one confirmation secures your transaction.
