Trump's rise to power means that the U.S. will scale back foreign aid,
including military and economic assistance. It will become increasingly difficult to thrive in America.
Trump's governance perspective, in our words, is to focus on one's own doorstep and care less about others' troubles. This is certainly beneficial for his own people, but it poses great uncertainty for other vulnerable groups around the world who desperately need help and protection.
However, it is impossible for foreign policy to undergo a dramatic change because the incoming cabinet will require a balance between the Democratic and Republican seats, meaning that the two parties will govern together. This is why, more than half a year ago, the Republicans were able to obstruct the aid plan for Ukraine.
In summary, regardless of who is elected as the President of the United States, it will be a coalition government of both parties, composed of the elite among elites, with a strong think tank, and there will be no jokes for you and me to see.
