According to Foresight News, crypto detective ZachXBT responded to the article released by notzachxbt regarding the deployment of the ERC-20z token, stating, "The Zora interface currently does not indicate to creators that an ERC-20 token will be issued simultaneously at the end of the limited edition NFT minting (as evidenced by the attached screenshot). If everyone continues to @ me in the post, I will continue to mint more tokens indefinitely for dilution purposes, and may take other measures (such as replacing works on Zora with blank images). I never intended for people to speculate on my investigative work; I just wanted to permanently preserve a free digital collectible on the blockchain (refer to my previous article on Mirror for context)."

Previously, notzachxbt stated that ZachXBT deployed an ERC-20z token on the Base network on August 19, 2024 (on-chain data shows September 19). Zora users purchased it on the secondary market, causing the price to soar, and it currently stands at $1,100, over 3,000 times the original price. Some of Zach's fans formed a community around this token and even cross-chained it to Solana.
