According to PANews, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange released a review of 2024, stating that the ETP market for virtual assets is growing rapidly. As of the end of November, the average daily trading amount reached 18.7 billion Hong Kong dollars, an increase of approximately 34% compared to the same period in 2023.

In the year, the first batch of exchange-traded call options ETFs and the first batch of virtual asset spot ETFs in Asia were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, enriching the diversity of ETP market products and enhancing market liquidity, leading to the listing of 36 new ETFs.

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange plans to digitize and automate the physical subscription and redemption mechanism for ETPs to enhance market efficiency and promote growth in secondary market activities.

In addition, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange launched a virtual asset index series to provide reliable benchmark prices for virtual assets, supporting Hong Kong's development as a digital asset center.
