According to Odaily Planet Daily, cryptocurrency-supporting lawyer John Deaton has called for transparency regarding the controversy surrounding former SEC official William Hinman, demanding the public disclosure of the SEC Inspector General's report on Hinman's potential conflicts of interest.
Deaton emphasized in a series of X posts that outgoing SEC Chairman Gary Gensler or incoming Chairman Paul Atkins need to publish the Inspector General's investigation results. He pointed out that any credible investigation would confirm violations of U.S. financial conflict of interest laws.
Although the SEC Inspector General's report may not have found evidence of misconduct by officials, the public has the right to know the results of the investigation.
