According to PANews, Cobra, the operator of the bitcoin.org domain, reminds the Bitcoin community that an unidentified user plans to introduce the CTV soft fork through a user-activated soft fork (UASF) in 2025.
CTV stands for "Check Template Verify," an improvement to the concept of Bitcoin contracts aimed at enhancing transaction security. Contracts allow the establishment of spending conditions in specific wallets, such as vaults and cold storage addresses.
Although the concept of contracts is still under discussion, there is a divergence in the community regarding their value. Some believe they should be included in Bitcoin Core, while others are skeptical.
