The Artificial Intelligence firm giant, OpenAI has announced its latest innovation model dubbed Strawberry, formerly known as OpenAI’s Q* project.

This new technology is expected to aid the ChatGPT creator in achieving human-level intelligence by enhancing their reasoning capabilities. It is seen as a significant advancement in AI model development.

Strawberry Is Designed To Perform Human-like Intelligence

Strawberry, a super smart AI, is developed to mimic human intelligence with its advanced internet scanning and deep research capabilities. It is aimed to tackle complex real-world challenges effectively as humans do. In addition to its design prospects, it is expected to help solve big, complex problems on a large scale, like making important scientific discoveries or creating new software.

“We want this AI to understand the world similar to how we do. To achieve this goal, Strawberry will study OpenAI’s current AI models after training to come up with more human-like answers”, Open AI insider said.

Strawberry’s release timeline is still unclear, and its operational details are closely guarded within OpenAI, according to Reuters. It is leveraging on the Q* project launched last year November 2023.

Tech Giants Exit OpenAI Board Amid Regulatory Scrutiny

This news comes after OpenAI major investors had backed out from their board positions. In July, prominent technology companies, Microsoft and Apple reportedly left their board positions at the firm due to increased regulatory obstacles.

Amidst the regulatory hurdles, it was reported in late April that Worldcoin, a digital currency project, is actively pursuing a partnership with the AI intelligence company.

Followed by this is the recent news of its strategic collaboration with Los Alamos National Laboratory, known for developing the first nuclear weapon. The alliance is to explore artificial intelligence applications in bioscience research.

OpenAI Faces Criticism

Recently, the firm was sued for its plans to turn from its non-profit open source company. Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against the company for purportedly shifting towards profit-driven objectives because the move would violate earlier agreements.

Also, one of its ex-staff, Williams Saunders had recently tagged the firm “Titanic of AI”. He had stressed his conviction that OpenAI might be headed toward a catastrophe akin to the sad journey the Titanic took in 1912.
