About Ravencoin
Ravencoin (RVN) is an asset tokenization protocol designed to streamline and simplify the issuance of blockchain tokens that represent any kind of asset, including securities, precious metals, event tickets, digital art, and other types of NFTs.
Launched as a fork of the Bitcoin network, Ravencoin operates differently from other blockchain networks that rely heavily on smart contracts to facilitate token issuance, such as Ethereum. Like Bitcoin, Ravencoin uses proof-of-work (PoW) consensus, but integrates a different hashing algorithm that is resistant to application-specific integrated circuit chips (ASICs). The aim of doing so is to make Ravencoin mining widely accessible.
The protocol’s architecture is designed specifically to facilitate the creation of tokenized assets and integrates a number of features to promote scalability, such as one-minute block times. Ravencoin can be used to create blockchain tokens that represent any kind of asset, including NFTs, without the use of smart contracts. RVN price is updated and available in real-time on Binance.
